What the app does with your information
Nothing, because it never receives any. Chordlight:
- has no account or sign-up — you never give us your name, email, or anything else
- shows no ads and contains no ad networks
- uses no analytics or tracking of any kind — no crash reporters, no usage statistics, no identifiers
- makes no network connections — the app is fully offline
- does not use the microphone. The Find feature works by tapping notes on screen; nothing is ever recorded
Your settings — instrument, tunings, favorites, display preferences — are stored only on your device and are deleted when you delete the app.
Purchases
If Chordlight offers purchases or subscriptions, they are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details and no personal information about you. Apple's handling of that data is described in Apple's privacy policy.
This website
chordlight.app sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party resources. Our hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived technical server logs (such as IP addresses) to operate the service; we do not use them to identify anyone.
Your rights (GDPR)
Because we process no personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete. If you believe otherwise, or have any privacy question, contact us and we will respond promptly. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Finnish supervisory authority, the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.
Changes
If Chordlight's behavior ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this policy before the change ships and revise the effective date above.
